You ah couch

The other day, Ava sat on the couch and said "bibird ah couch" meaning "I want big bird on the couch". Then she said "froggy ah couch" and so on until she had a little collection of critters surrounding her.

So this is the family...

Mike's family came to visit yesterday. Mia, Mike, Nana, Papa, Angie, Cole. Di, Ava and Mike take a walk.Mia helped me make a welcome note:

Don't let the baby drive the bus!

Ava loves shopping at Hy-Vee because she gets to drive the bus shopping cart. We love it too! She's perfectly content to cruise around while we do our shopping. Props to Hy-Vee!

Potty!

Big day today! Ava woke up dry this morning for the first time. I asked her if she'd like to sit on the potty chair. She didn't object so I sat her on the potty and we hung out for a few minutes and I distracted her by brushing her hair and chatting. Then suddenly I heard a tell-tale tinkle!

After sitting for a couple more minutes for photos she got up and I told her to look in the potty to see what she’d accomplished. She got up, turned around, looked in the potty, and exclaimed "JUICE!"
